IoT

Milesight’s range of IoT products are designed to seamlessly give end users access to meaningful data about the environment in which they live or work, helping to support smarter decision-making and facilitate operational improvements.

How does IoT work?

Gateway

Sensor

Controller

A successful IoT system comprises of device(s), usually known as sensors, a gateway and a controller.

Sensors are responsible for collecting data from the environment, such as temperature, humidity, capacity, light, pressure etc. The data they collect is then transmitted to the cloud via a gateway, where it is processed and analysed, before being presented to the end user in a human friendly format via a user interface including apps and notifications.

A controller allows the user to set up commands and if/then instructions in order to control devices based on the data collected.
